About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer with a strong background in AWS services, advanced networking, observability, infrastructure as code, container orchestration, and security. The ideal candidate will have a problem-solving mindset, be able to work efficiently in fast-paced Agile/Scrum environments, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. This role involves working with core AWS services, implementing and troubleshooting hybrid connectivity, configuring monitoring and alerting systems, automating infrastructure, managing Kubernetes clusters, and ensuring security and compliance through patching and vulnerability remediation. Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation is also required.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with core AWS services: VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, Backups, EKS, SSO, MSK, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and related security/compliance tooling.
  • Advanced networking knowledge, including hands-on experience with AWS Transit Gateway (TGW) and Direct Connect — setup, troubleshooting, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Experience with Amazon CloudWatch, Grafana, Open Telemetry (OTEL), and proactive alerting and telemetry configuration.
  • Proficient in Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Shell scripting for end-to-end automation.
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio service mesh for traffic management, security, and observability.
  • Experienced in patching and vulnerability remediation in cloud-native and containerized environments, aligned with best practices and compliance.
  • Hands-on Python development experience for scripting, automation, and infrastructure tooling.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, Agile/Scrum environments and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage core AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, Backups, EKS, SSO, MSK, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and related security/compliance tooling.
  • Implement, troubleshoot, and manage advanced networking configurations using AWS Transit Gateway (TGW) and Direct Connect for hybrid connectivity.
  • Configure and manage observability and monitoring tools such as Amazon CloudWatch, Grafana, and Open Telemetry (OTEL), including proactive alerting.
  • Utilize Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Shell scripting for end-to-end infrastructure automation.
  • Manage container orchestration using Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio service mesh for traffic management, security, and observability.
  • Perform patching and vulnerability remediation in cloud-native and containerized environments, adhering to best practices and compliance standards.
  • Develop Python scripts for automation, infrastructure tooling, and other related tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Work efficiently in fast-paced environments.
