About The Position

As a Platform Engineer, you will apply DevOps methodologies, GitOps, and focus on quality while working with agile teams. This role involves helping clients with projects such as cloud migrations, supporting software development teams, and setting up CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a consultancy environment
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, written and spoken
  • Experience building out scalable and automated cloud platforms, preferably with AWS (EKS, IAM, VPC, networking, Route53, ALB/NLB, RDS, S3,..)
  • Experience with provisioning and supporting cloud infrastructure, using infrastructure as code and building CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as Terraform, ARM (Azure Resource Manager) or Cloudformation (AWS)
  • Experience with containerisation technology and various orchestration platforms, designing and maintaining them, ideally Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of logging and monitoring
  • Experience in service design and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic..)
  • Strong commitment to doing things in a sustainable and secure way
  • Proven ability to take technical ownership, collaborate across multiple engineering teams and drive platform initiatives during complex modernization or cloud migration programmes.
  • Eligible to work in the EU

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in provisioning tools such as Ansible/ Puppet/ Chef
  • Basic programming language knowledge in order to provide tooling (Python, Bash, PowerShell etc)
  • Run performance and load tests at scale, and are able to forecast capacity for the future

Responsibilities

  • Help clients on specific projects like a migration to the cloud
  • Support a team of Software Craftspeople
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines
  • Provisioning and supporting cloud infrastructure
  • Designing and maintaining containerization technology and orchestration platforms
  • Working with external partners on requirements and designs that scale and are delivered on time
  • Troubleshooting and optimizing software systems using knowledge of logging and monitoring
  • Taking technical ownership, collaborating across multiple engineering teams, and driving platform initiatives during complex modernization or cloud migration programs.
