Bestow uses E-Verify to confirm the employment eligibility of all newly hired employees. The engineering team is responsible for all technology powering Bestow and the Bestow Platform. We support our employees, consumers, and enterprise partners by delivering reliable, secure, and scalable systems. Our functional teams include product engineering, infrastructure, IT, data and analytics, mar-tech, and program management. We work closely with product management and design to build the right solutions and continuously improve our platform. This role reports to the Manager of Engineering and is open to remote employees in the U.S. (48 contiguous states only.)

Requirements

  • Proficiency with GCP or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Experience utilizing AI-powered coding assistants or agents, such as Claude Code, to enhance productivity and streamline development workflows.
  • Familiarity with Typescript, Go, or similar
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with version control tools like git and GitHub.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Bonus if familiar with using observability platforms such as New Relic or Datadog.

Responsibilities

  • Automate cloud infrastructure via tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Administer our software platform, which includes Kubernetes, Pulumi Cloud, ArgoCD, CircleCI, and PostgreSQL.
  • Contribute to projects in languages such as TypeScript, Python, Go, or Bash.
  • Evaluate, design, and implement solutions for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps productivity.
  • Collaborate with product engineers to identify observability/configurability gaps and make code-level improvements.
  • Creating the tooling to improve the developer experience, enabling them to deliver business value faster and more effectively.
  • Manage runbooks for incident response; Measure operational performance and make gradual improvements.
  • Participate in a primary on-call weekly rotation to maintain system reliability, respond to platform incidents, and perform blameless root-cause analysis.
