Platform Distribution & Partnerships (formerly Content Distribution) is a division of NBCUniversal's media group responsible for the distribution and monetization of the company’s multi-billion-dollar linear and streaming services portfolio to pay-tv providers, NBC broadcast affiliates, consumer technology platforms and devices, and consumer brands. A key revenue-generator, the division is comprised of content distribution, affiliate relations and strategic partnerships across NBC, Peacock, Bravo, Telemundo and various FAST channels.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027).
  • December 2026 graduates are not eligible for this Academic Year Internship Program.
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027.
  • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.
  • Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.
  • Must have an active Social Security number and complete I-9 form within 3 days of hire.

  • Strong verbal, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Digital Distribution, Entertainment industry or DTC experience.
  • Solid history and examples on Project Management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or product management experience.
  • Marketing or business experience (for Marketing roles).

Responsibilities

  • Support the Partner Marketing Team in their efforts to develop innovative integrated marketing initiatives that secure distribution, drive distributor and NBCUniversal revenues and reinforces the value of the NBCUniversal portfolio with distribution partners.
  • Get exposure to securing and optimizing content distribution agreements with leading partners like Charter, Roku, FuboTV and LG.
  • Learn about the strategic and operational aspects of media distribution, including how network distribution contracts are structured and day-to-day partnership work.
  • Contribute to overall account support and compile Peacock and FAST channel data reports across various platforms.
  • Support fulfillment of content while ensuring contractual entitlements, compliance requirements and monetization strategies are met.
  • Support the Specialist and Sr. Director to meet department main business objectives of driving innovation to build efficient and scalable workflows, and maximizing content and monetization opportunities.
