About The Position

This role is for a Site Reliability Engineer supporting container platforms, working with the internal Booz Allen core team to develop more robust systems by building a resilient infrastructure. The engineer will focus on building redundancy, implementing monitoring tools, and automating processes to free up time and resources for new capabilities. Responsibilities include reducing toil through scripting routine tasks and automating self-repair. This position offers the opportunity to leverage expertise in Kubernetes environments in the cloud, assist junior engineers, and broaden one's knowledge base, contributing to the maturation of Kubernetes and container service offerings for internal Booz Allen solutions. U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles
  • Experience with production in Kubernetes, including clusters, workloads, networking, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with two or more Kubernetes-based platforms, including AKS, EKS, or OpenShift
  • Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS or Azure, and core services, including IAM, networking, logging, or compute
  • Experience with scripting or automation, including Python, Bash, or Go, on Linux platforms
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as AI solutions or CloudFormation
  • Experience with observability tools, such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, or Grafana
  • Knowledge of incident management, RCA, and reliability engineering principles
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GitOps tools, such as Argo CD or Flux
  • Experience with service mesh and ingress technologies, such as Istio, NGINX, or Traefik
  • Experience with policy and security tooling, such as OPA Gatekeeper, Kyverno, Falco, Aqua, or Prisma
  • Experience in regulated or enterprise-scale environments
  • CKA, CKAD, AWS, Azure certs, or Red Hat OpenShift Certifications
