About The Position

The Platform Architect, Senior provides senior-level technical leadership in designing and configuring the application development platform that supports enterprise solutions. This role collaborates with engineering, architecture, and development teams to ensure an optimized platform architecture aligned with program requirements.

Requirements

  • MA/MS degree with 10+ years of experience
  • An additional 6+ years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • 5+ years of experience with expert knowledge of the application development platform.
  • Experience with Scrum or Agile methodologies
  • Background check required
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Expert knowledge of application development platform architecture.
  • Ability to lead multi-team technical tasks and provide strategic architectural direction.
  • Ability to evaluate platform releases and identify improvements.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading platform modernization or platform optimization efforts.
  • Experience integrating low-code or no-code technologies in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Ability to work independently on high-visibility or mission-critical program aspects.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Government engineering and architecture team, Application Development Lead, Database Technical Lead, and hosting environment to ensure the application development platform is designed and configured correctly.
  • Collaborates with Product Management, the Release Train Engineer, and Business Owners to achieve effective outcomes on the Agile Release Train.
  • Provide high-level estimates of Epics for the Planning Increment.
  • Lead the Application Development Teams (ADTs) in application platform architectural changes required to design and implement the solution, including establishing technical tasks resulting from planned Sprints.
  • Monitor product development of the low-code/no-code product to determine best practices, new release features, and how best to integrate them into the overall architectural design.
  • Provide architectural design recommendations to improve application performance.
  • Enable the Release Management Team (RMT) to meet release‑on‑demand delivery through streamlined architectural designs.
  • May oversee efforts of less-senior staff, consistent with Senior labor category expectations.
