Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting operating a roll press.
  • Prior fabrication experience.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Competent use of hand, bench, and machine operations.
  • Understanding of and ability to utilize a tape measure, squaring tools, electronic level, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Understand tolerances for parts.
  • Ability to understand why machines are not at peak performance and how to increase output.
  • Accuracy with alignment, dimensional, and general inspection requirements.
  • Interpretations of work orders, blueprints, and bills of materials.
  • Must be able to go up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to do unaccompanied travel.
  • Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial equipment manufacturing, and apply appropriate safety equipment when required.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in company duties.
  • Must possess strong leadership, analytical thinking, effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with persons inside and outside of the company.
  • Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to job requirements.
  • Must be able to work under stress.
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to process paperwork effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Run a Plate Roll Press to fabricate parts.
  • Perform deburring, filing, grinding, and polishing on machined parts using hand, bench, and machine operations.
  • Perform spot inspections of parts.
  • Complete and maintain paperwork.
  • Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminum, and regular steel).
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
