The job objective is to be able to operate and be certified on a variety of tasks, including operating manufacturing equipment, following established Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards. Ability to perform varying assignments daily.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and/or GED required.
  • Prior experience with computerized data collection systems.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Promotes a culture of safety within the organization by leading by example and encouraging others to prioritize safety.
  • Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process.
  • Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. This includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities.
  • Obtain certification in all PVS level 1 (Plastics Specialist and/or FNL) Training Checklist items (attached) within six weeks of hiring.
  • Individual must be flexible and present the ability to become certified in multiple focus factory areas
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Operate complex manufacturing equipment following established procedures and Control Plans.
  • Read and interpret the Discrete Job Routing Sheet and Repetitive(s)
  • Perform quality checks as documented.
  • Complete necessary computer transactions or paperwork.
  • Notifies appropriate Personnel of any incidents or situations that would trigger implementation of the contingency plan.
  • Maintain established production standards.
  • Accountable for personal goals and departmental goals.
  • Ability to successfully complete training and operate PIT’s.
  • Train new associates in essential job functions
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Excellent attendance required
  • Ability to work overtime as requested or required, including extended shifts and weekends
  • Full time presence required
