About The Position
The Plastics Operator performs basic injection molding machine operations by following demonstrated directions. After machine setup is completed by others, the operator runs one or more machines under prescribed conditions. Duties include cycling the machine, removing scrap material from parts, and checking molded parts through gauging and visual inspection. Any deficiencies are referred to supervisors or leads.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to follow demonstrated directions.
- Good written and spoken communication in English.
- Ability to read written instructions, use simple math, and use basic handheld measuring tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic mold press operations.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment, and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
