About The Position

We are seeking a Plastic Surgeon for a Locum Tenens position in Charleston, WV. This role involves providing clinical and call coverage at an Ambulatory Surgery Center and Hospital. The coverage period is from August 31, 2026, to March 01, 2027, with a clinical shift schedule of one week per month, from Thursday 7:00 AM to Thursday 7:00 AM. The position will manage patients of all ages, with a case mix including hand trauma, carpal tunnel, trigger fingers, body contouring, cosmetic surgery, and breast reconstruction. The facility utilizes the Cerner EMR system and has a robust support staff including RNs, MAs, LPNs, PAs, NPs, clerical staff, and other physicians and APPs.

Requirements

• Universal License (IMLC) or West Virginia Temp License
• Board Certified in Plastic Surgery
• DEA required
• BLS, ACLS certifications
• Hand Trauma experience required

Responsibilities

• Provide clinic and OR coverage for plastic surgery and hand trauma patients
• Manage hand trauma cases including carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, and other hand conditions
• Perform body contouring and cosmetic surgery procedures
• Provide breast reconstruction surgery for breast cancer patients
• Participate in call coverage as part of the weekly rotation
