About The Position

Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring Plastic Surgeons in Arlington, VA to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. This no-call Plastic Surgeon job offers a high-impact career without the corporate red tape. Surgical debridement and bedside procedures are part of your daily practice. There is no practice overhead, no staff payroll, marketing budget, office lease or billing headaches. You can focus on patients. This role offers steady, reliable income per-patient and per-procedure pay that doesn’t rise and fall with the cosmetic market. You will have clinical autonomy, directing patient outcomes based on your surgical expertise, not a hospital committee or department hierarchy. Our custom software is designed to slash admin time, so you’re not stuck charting at midnight when you could be home at a reasonable hour.

Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds, as well as Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians.
• No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds, including pressure injuries
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
