About The Position

Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring Plastic Surgeons in Los Angeles, CA to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. This role offers a high-impact career without the corporate red tape, providing an alternative to traditional plastic surgery practices that may involve trauma call, insurance battles, or the overhead of running a cosmetic practice. The position focuses on utilizing plastic surgeons' expertise in wound healing and tissue management in a no-call, Monday-Friday setting.

Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds, as well as Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians.
• No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds, including pressure injuries
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
