About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is hiring Plastic Surgeons in Arlington, VA to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This role offers a no-call, Monday-Friday lifestyle, allowing surgeons to utilize their expertise in wound healing and tissue management without the burdens of traditional practice overhead, insurance battles, or trauma call. The position provides steady, reliable income, clinical autonomy, and utilizes custom software to minimize administrative tasks. Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds, as well as Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians.
• No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds, including pressure injuries
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
