Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon
About The Position
District Medical Group (DMG) is seeking a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon to join the Surgery Department at Valleywise Health System (VHS) at Valleywise Health Medical Center (VHMC). VHMC is a 270-bed academic community hospital and a Level I Adult Trauma/Level I Burn Center. The Plastic Surgery Division hosts resident rotators from the Mayo Clinic Plastic Surgery Residency, and DMG is a faculty partner in the Creighton University Medical School educational alliance. The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient general plastic and reconstructive surgery services in both elective and emergent care settings, share call coverage, and teach residents. The role involves managing a full range of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery patients, with required expertise in Maxillofacial Trauma and Microvascular surgery. There will be opportunities for collaborative research and extending existing plastic surgery services.
Requirements
- Completed Plastic Surgery residency training.
- Board certified or board eligible.
- Comfortable managing the full range of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery patients.
- Expertise with Maxillofacial Trauma.
- Expertise with Microvascular surgery.
- Comfortable with a team approach for patient management.
Nice To Haves
- Previous faculty experience in an academic environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
