The role requires determining the most effective methods for pattern making, including the selection and number of templates needed, while considering factors like shrink equivalents, tool design, and spring-back. Additionally, the position involves determining and devising methods for sand molding, such as split patterns, moldboards, or core boxes. There may be opportunities to create templates, instruct and direct other employees, and perform related plastic tooling operations.
