About The Position

The Plasma Center Paramedic performs as a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. It works under the operational guidance of the Plasma Center Manager or Assistant Manager, as applicable, and under the Center Physician’s management for medical issues. The position follows BioLife Medical Affairs guidance and provides center-level environmental, health and safety support. Responsibilities include determining donor eligibility through informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interviews, acceptance requirements, physical examinations, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
