About The Position

This position is responsible for managing department yarn waste, packing supplies, and recycling material. The role involves expediting the loading and unloading of these materials and maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas. The associate will replace waste containers, keep waste buggies and trash cans neatly organized, and weigh full waste containers. Responsibilities include recording machine waste totals, completing paperwork, communicating with the oncoming utility operator about shift issues, and providing line operators with daily supplies such as tubes, dividers, and trays. The role also includes disposing of trash into the dumpster, keeping the machine and work area clean, operating lift trucks (requiring annual certification), and assisting with shipping/receiving as needed. The associate must be able to follow verbal instructions with minimal supervision, operate a baler, separate cardboard waste, move full waste containers, keep the production floor clear of waste, and maintain separation of polymer waste streams (waste, Tio2, odd lot, and Q1). This includes managing tube recycling bins from all floors and transporting them to the dumpster. The associate will follow a task list and perform other duties assigned by shift leads or supervisors, utilizing a pallet jack.

Requirements

  • Must be able to follow verbal work instructions and accomplish assigned tasks with little direct supervision.
  • Must pass the Lift Truck Certification exam annually and operate lift trucks.
  • Able to operate baler.
  • Able to separate cardboard waste into separate categories.
  • Keeping polymer waste streams separate products (waste, Tio2, odd lot and Q1) separated.
  • Third floor operator will place a buggy on the elevator for utility.

Responsibilities

  • Replace waste containers when they are full.
  • Keep waste buggies, boxes, and trash cans placed neatly in the staging area.
  • Weigh full waste containers.
  • Take full waste containers to the baling area and bale them.
  • Record machine waste totals on the waste form located at the scale.
  • Complete all paperwork and turn it in to the supervisor before shift change.
  • Communicate with oncoming utility operator any problems experienced during the shift.
  • Provide line Operators with daily supplies such as tubes, dividers (dividers new and used), and trays.
  • Dispose of trash into the dumpster.
  • Keep the machine and assigned work area(s) clean.
  • Operate lift trucks after passing the Lift Truck Certification exam annually.
  • Load and unload trucks as needed (Raw materials, supplies, etc.).
  • Operate scrubber and vacuum for cleaning purposes.
  • Assist shipping/receiving as needed.
  • Operate baler.
  • Separate cardboard waste into separate categories.
  • Move full waste containers from behind the Neumag lines to baler, trailer or staging areas.
  • Keep Neumag Production floor clear of waste.
  • Keep polymer waste streams separate products (waste, Tio2, odd lot and Q1) separated.
  • Check the tube recycling bins and bale the contents using the baler.
  • Pick up buggies from the third floor using a lift truck and take them to a dumpster outside of Annex.
  • Follow Task List and perform any other duties assigned by Shift Lead or Supervisors.
  • Utilize a pallet jack.
