About The Position

The Plant Warehouse Technician II at Swire Coca-Cola moves products or materials in a production or warehouse environment using powered industrial equipment and/or vehicles with an extremely high focus on safety and the safety of others. Work is conducted in a very fast-paced environment where productivity expectations are high. This role oversees warehouse inventory control processes, maintenance of accurate records in accordance with company policies, and/or dispatch of transportation loads. The incumbent will assist the supervisor in time distribution/management of warehouse personnel and conduct certification of forklift operators. They will operate a yard truck/hostler exclusively on Swire property, moving trailers on the yard, in and out of dock doors. Additionally, they will run automated manufacturing equipment to produce a variety of beverages in the production facility and be responsible for basic maintenance of the equipment/machines operated.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED) required
  • Forklift Certification within 30 days from hire required
  • 2+ years of general warehouse experience required
  • Basic computer skills required; use of hand-held scanners / other technology
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to perform essential functions with little or no supervision
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years knowledge of manufacturing, production operations, and industrial technology preferred
  • Must be able to learn and fully operate assigned production equipment

Responsibilities

  • Operate industrial vehicles, yard truck/hostler, and warehouse equipment to safely relocate, transport, load, and unload raw materials, full goods, and finished goods within the warehouse and yard.
  • Ensure efficient loading/unloading of palletized and non-palletized materials into trailers and route trucks to meet scheduled delivery times.
  • Transport and stage materials in designated areas to meet operational requirements while ensuring all products are stacked, stored, and secured in compliance with regulatory and company policies.
  • Operate and monitor less complex equipment under general supervision; replenish materials as needed throughout the production shift.
  • Move product and/or materials manually as required or directed by leadership.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by reconciling finished goods in SAP to physical counts, performing cycle counts, verifying outgoing loads, and investigating/correcting discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper rotation of product based on BBE date codes.
  • Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including managing storage locations in compliance with fire code requirements.
  • Ensure transportation activities and loads are executed with maximum efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Meet company standards for productivity.
  • Complete required training.
  • Attend meetings as assigned and assist with special projects and events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
