About The Position

The Plant Utility Person operates and supports plant equipment to help ensure safe, efficient sand and gravel production. The role performs routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs; assists with material handling, stockpiling, and loading; and maintains a clean, organized, safe work area while following company procedures and contributing to a strong safety culture.

The position involves physical work in an industrial setting and exposure to moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise. Employment is contingent on completing a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to safely operate or learn to operate heavy equipment and plant machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic issues.
• Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability and adaptability, and ability to perform physical tasks in an industrial setting.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday.
• Ability to work at heights and safely navigate uneven terrain.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks using hands, arms, and legs.
• Sufficient vision, hearing, and coordination to operate equipment and work safely in an active environment.
• Successful completion of a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
