About The Position

Supervise, train and motivate employees and work teams to meet quality standards, production goals, efficiencies and customer satisfaction while maintaining a safe work environment for all employees. Oversee the production process looking for ways to improve efficiencies, meeting all production quotas and deadlines. Assign work, analyze productivity, workflow, methods and procedures, making recommendations to management as appropriate. Enforce all company policies and plant rules, to include but not limited to problem solving, development & implementation of standard operating procedures. Completes production labor schedule by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules to minimize OT; resolving problems; reporting results of the shift production daily. Maintains working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement where applicable. Responsible to meet all food safety, quality and customer requirements for this position.

Requirements

• 4 year degree or equivalent work experience in a high speed manufacturing environment, preferably consumer packaged goods
• Minimum 2 - 4 years experience supervisory experience in a fast paced consumer packaged goods environment
• Better Process School (will provide)
• Computer skills
• Self-motivation and safety awareness
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management and subordinates using both verbal and written formats
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
• Self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Read written work orders, manuals, measurement instruments and company-posted work and safety policies, procedures and programs
