Requirements

  • High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 3+ years of related environmental experience at the supervisory level (required)
  • 2+ years of environmental, health and safety experience (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating tractor trailers / yard trucks (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance to team members while monitoring equipment and workloads to ensure the safe and timely completion of processing for various projects across a hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facility.
  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times.
  • Schedules, plans, and guides employees in their assigned tasks, ensuring production goals are met in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Develops, maintains and initiates reports for all activities for leadership review or as required by regulations and Company policies and procedures.
  • Trains new employees in Company and department-specific procedures while monitoring and documenting adherence to the established goals and metrics.
  • Partners with various areas at the facility location, as well as other departments and leadership to ensure a smooth flow of material through the facility.
  • Ensures assigned work areas and equipment are inspected and documented appropriately; notifies maintenance when repairs are required.
  • Participates in hiring, promotion, evaluation and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.
