About The Position

The DIRECTOR of MAINTENANCE is responsible for the overall operation of the maintenance department ensuring all laws, regulations and Company standards are met.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years maintenance experience
• Proven knowledge of various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Knowledgeable of local building codes and ordinances
• Knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing maintenance functions in the long-term care facility

• Leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel

Responsibilities

• Ensure all laws, regulations, and Company standards are met.
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the maintenance department.
• Supervise professional and non-professional personnel.
