About The Position

Oversee all areas of plant operations during off shift to include: Material movement, Transformation, Preparation, Maintenance (Production and Facilities). This role involves collaborating with the Plant Manager to set strategic daily goals and vision, providing input on employees, performing safety checks, ensuring company policies and ISO practices are followed, and fostering an environment with high quality standards. The supervisor will report on machine downtime, take a leadership role in emergent situations, maintain high housekeeping standards, enforce break and meal times, and maintain a high sense of urgency to maximize efficiency. Responsibilities also include ensuring the safe and efficient use of warehouse equipment and facilities, handling discipline, participating in talent management (hiring, termination), identifying cost reduction opportunities, maintaining health, safety, hygiene, and security standards, and orienting, coaching, motivating, and communicating with employees. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience as a supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing company
  • Basic computer skills: familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to operate a forklift in a safe and effective manner
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, moisture, and dirty environments

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Plant Manager (PM) and set strategic daily goals and vision
  • Provide input to PM on employees and give suggestions for improvement
  • Perform safety checks on machines/building and report discrepancies
  • Ensure PRI company policies are being followed
  • Support all ISO practices throughout the plant
  • Foster an environment with high quality standards
  • Report on machine down time
  • Take proactive leadership role in emergent situations and keep PM informed through situation reports as necessary
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards
  • Enforce breaks and meal times
  • Maintain high sense of urgency to maximize efficiency of resources
  • Ensure the safe and efficient use of warehouse equipment and facilities
  • Handle discipline and participate in all aspects of talent management (hiring, termination)
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and charges
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Orient, coach, motivate and communicate with employees
