About The Position

The 2nd Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the production team. This role involves training team members to maximize their potential, empowering them with skills to improve confidence, product knowledge, and communication. The supervisor must be able to delegate tasks, resolve problems, and ensure smooth operations during their shift, while also ensuring adherence to all department policies and procedures.

Requirements

Thorough understanding of all Company policies, including SQF, GMPs, safety policies, and HACCP.

Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day activities of the production team.
Assist with training team members to maximize their potential.
Empower team members with skills to improve confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
Delegate tasks, resolve problems, and ensure smooth operations during a given shift.
Ensure all department policies and procedures are followed.
Work with shipping, production team, and management regarding units on hold.
Ensure products are produced on time and are of good quality.
Identify training needs.
Provide daily reports to management about production.
Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
Implement work practices, rules, and safety practices that ensure compliance with policies, rules, and procedures.
Perform other duties as directed.
Check technical accuracy of work.
Notify Supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required.
Offer problem-solving solutions.
Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of actions as required.
Effectively communicate with supervisor.
