About The Position

Daniels Health is seeking a hands-on 1st Shift Plant Supervisor to oversee operations at our Stow, OH facility. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined leader who drives safety, compliance, and efficient plant performance through a frontline team. Daniels Health provides reusable medical waste containers designed to reduce needlestick injuries and support sustainability. After use, we professionally clean and sanitize each container for reuse, while responsibly disposing of medical waste at our treatment facilities. Our closed-loop system ensures safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility for our customers.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of plant, warehouse, manufacturing, or operations leadership experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a process-driven environment with clear standards and documentation.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and regulatory compliance standards and ability to enforce them
  • Proven ability to improve processes, lead teams effectively, and hold others accountable
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, or flex hours as needed
  • Physically able to lift up to 55 lbs and push/pull carts up to 300 lbs; extended standing and occasional confined space work required

  • Experience in regulated industries such as waste management, logistics, or manufacturing
  • Exposure to regulatory audits, environmental programs, or permit-driven operations
  • Background in continuous improvement, capacity planning, or KPI reporting

Responsibilities

  • Lead 1st shift plant operations across production and dock to meet safety, quality, and throughput targets
  • Champion safety: daily floor walkthroughs, PPE and hazard control, incident and near-miss reporting, and weekly safety talks
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and regulatory standards (permits, environmental requirements, ISO/AQIS/DOT tasks, audits).
  • Uphold quality standards and sanitation requirements across processes and equipment.
  • Plan daily capacity, labor coverage, and workflow; manage inventory and stock control
  • Coach, train, and develop team members; support performance reviews and build a cross-trained, reliable shift.
  • Support preventive maintenance and equipment uptime in partnership with maintenance and site leadership
  • Monitor KPIs and escalate service-impacting issues in collaboration with sales, service, and logistics
