Plant Safety Technician

About The Position
Responsible for daily tasks associated with the safety department. This includes maintaining DOT files, safety logs, and training files. The role involves scheduling and providing training as needed, assisting with safety training for new hires, and maintaining/updating all SDS books and chemical lists. The technician will also assist in incident investigations and inspections, and provide leadership and direction regarding safety policies and procedures. Other relevant duties to the job may also be assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technically proficient with technology and usage of computers and software.
Nice To Haves
- Some college or technical training preferred.
