About The Position

As a Plant Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and control of the plant’s quality testing and reporting system within the plant. Requirements

  • Four-year degree, preferably in the sciences or engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years’ experience in the development and maintenance of a quality testing/reporting system.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certified is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing development and maintenance of the quality testing/reporting system.
  • Develop, coordinate, support, train, assist, and facilitate within all attributes of the Quality Management System.
  • Point of contact for all Customer issues, lead corrective actions, and ensure Sonoco is meeting all customer requirements.
  • Responsible for the Advanced Product Quality Planning Process (APQP).
  • Lead the continuous improvement program.
  • Reduces variation within work tasks to improve process efficiency and quality.
  • Managing the specification, test methods, instructions, and audit processes.
  • Ensure quality records are maintained.
  • Develops best practices for each operation within the plant and trains across all shifts as required.
