About The Position

Schneider Electric has an onsite opportunity (5 days a week) for a highly motivated Plant Project Controller to join our manufacturing team in Mount Juliet, TN. The role requires an on-site, in-plant presence – remote work will be allowed situationally and on an as needed basis, but the expectation of this position is that your on-site in plant presence will be required 5 days per week. This is an exciting opportunity to partner directly with operations, project management, and supply chain leaders to drive profitability, improve project performance, and influence key business decisions in a dynamic manufacturing environment. As a key member of the plant finance team, you will provide financial leadership across project execution, cost management, forecasting, and operational performance while gaining valuable exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, and business transformation initiatives. Success in this role depends on close collaboration with plant leadership, project management, and operations teams, making an in-person presence an important part of driving results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing finance, controlling, cost accounting, FP&A, or similar financial roles.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities, including working with large datasets and translating data into actionable business insights.
  • Strong systems aptitude with experience using business reporting and financial applications.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication and business partnering skills.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification.
  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or operational finance environments.
  • Experience in project controlling, project finance, or solution-based businesses.
  • Experience supporting business transformation, process improvement, or digitalization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Hyperion, Essbase, SQL, or similar business systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong interest in manufacturing and supply chain operations.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for operational and financial improvement.
  • Career ambition to grow into future Finance Business Partner or Plant Controller positions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Plant Project Management to improve visibility, performance, and profitability across projects and customer orders.
  • Develop and enhance project financial controls, providing actionable insights into project profitability, cost performance, and operational results.
  • Collaborate with North America Operations and Global Supply Chain stakeholders to advance project controlling best practices across ETO manufacturing sites.
  • Drive financial visibility throughout the project lifecycle, helping teams identify risks, opportunities, and performance improvement actions.
  • Serve as a Finance Business Partner supporting project-related activities across supply chain, labor, and freight operations.
  • Support internal control and compliance programs, including monthly audits and order lifecycle controls.
  • Analyze forecast, actual, and estimated project performance and provide recommendations that support sound business decisions.
  • Support inventory management processes including E&O compliance, cycle counts, WIP analysis, and project-related inventory impacts.
  • Prepare and present financial insights to leadership teams to support business planning and operational decision-making.
