The Plant Program/Launch Team Member is responsible for all aspects of manufacturing programs at your plant. Its work starts from the end of the project acquisition (end of phase 1) until 6 months after the SOP. This role implements the APQP for the management of new programs, coordinates assigned tasks, and manages the program's budget (launch cost). The team member acts as a technical interface with customers and suppliers in agreement with the program manager, and serves as the interface between the Program Manufacturing Leader (PML) and the plant. They are the team leader for the plant's program, managing assigned resources for a successful launch, and reviewing the skills of operating personnel according to manufacturing stage requirements. This role also coordinates changes related to the production system and/or product, ensures compliance with internal and corporate procedures, and verifies that manufacturing processes meet customer capacity requirements. Additionally, they track client ratings for quality, deliverables, and projects, and ensure compliance with IATF 16949, FES, and ISO 14001 standards, as well as the Quality Management System (QMS). The team member has the authority to stop the process or material flow if a non-conforming condition is detected. The role also involves analyzing, developing, validating, and releasing the production system of a new program, ensuring new lines meet plant standards, coordinating equipment and tooling installation, supporting production ramp-up, and identifying resources needed for new production lines.
