Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years work experience in a trade profession
Highly motivated, goal orientated, ethical, and challenge driven
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Ability to demonstrate strong proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance activities of furnace equipment
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form
Ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement tools preferred
Advanced technical training through trade school or higher education preferred

Responsibilities

Promote a strong culture of safety by ensuring safe work practices and compliance with company policies
Provide real-time leadership, problem solving, and decision making on the production floor
Conduct Root Cause Anaylsis for scrap, downtime, or other processes
Ensure proper record keeping of shift activities through auditing
Create a team friendly environment
Conduct employee coaching, performace discussions, and corrective actions when needed
Assist in scheduling production
Lead 1 of the 4 production crews
