About The Position

The Hot Tap Assistant I role has a wide scope, assisting in all aspects of the hot tap process from initial rigging to site clean-up. This role also involves general shop work, manufacturing assistance, and vehicle/equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• Industry related training and/or tickets
• General knowledge of the oil and gas industry in relation to the services RFI provides
• Physical and mental capability to perform in the field or shop
• Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with Red Flame Industries Health and Safety Policies
• Ensure that all field work is completed in compliance with Red Flame Industries, Customer, and Industrial Requirements
• Be responsible for hazard mitigation and adhere to PPE requirements for all work sites
• Participate in RFI health and safety program as necessary

Nice To Haves

• Grade 12 or equivalency diploma

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre and post job set up
• Assist the technician in all aspects of the hot tap operation
• Perform maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and basic shop maintenance
• Assist with the manufacturing of hot tap fittings and testing hot tap prototypes
• Kit jobs in the shop
