About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Part-Time Plant Operations Assistant for The Fremont community in Springfield, Missouri. This role involves assisting the Plant Operations Director in maintaining the community, servicing equipment, responding to maintenance requests, and ensuring the safety of employees, guests, and residents. The position requires a proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to safety.

Requirements

  • At least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction, refinishing, painting, plumbing, floor/carpet care, and refurbishing.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in apartment or other multiple unit maintenance.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items more than 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day.
  • Use of a ladder is required.
  • Job functions require both indoor and outdoor work, including in periods of inclement weather.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Good physical health verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.
  • Must have a clean driving record as per the insured’s policy.
  • Working knowledge of current OSHA regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification and experience in HVAC are highly recommended.
  • Landscaping experience is a plus.
  • Experience in senior housing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Plant Operations Director in maintaining all areas of the community.
  • Service equipment and tools.
  • Respond to repair and maintenance requests and document their progress and completion.
  • Maintain the safety of employees, guests, and residents, addressing potential environmental hazards and emergencies.
