About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role operates and monitors plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient production of materials. It involves routine inspections and basic maintenance, loading/transporting materials, and following safety procedures. Effective communication with team members is crucial for meeting production goals and resolving issues.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to safely operate or learn to operate heavy industrial equipment
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety standards
• Mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities
• Reliability, adaptability, and willingness to learn new processes and technologies
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift or move materials up to 50 pounds
• Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed
• Manual dexterity to operate controls, tools, and equipment safely
• Visual and hearing ability sufficient to recognize hazards and monitor equipment performance
• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient production of materials
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance to support continuous operations
• Load, transport, and handle raw materials and finished products as required
• Follow safety procedures and company policies while maintaining clean work areas
• Communicate effectively with team members to meet production goals and resolve issues
