About The Position

Alter Metal Recycling in Davenport, IA is searching for a Plant Operator on our Night Shift. The Plant Operator is a key part of the operation. This position requires good mechanical aptitude, and the ability follow sequence. The Plant Operator will follow a plant layout, monitor the system, and build density to start up and to maintain daily operation.

Requirements

Must be able to work the 12 hour Night Shift.
Must be reliable and have good attendance record.
Ability to learn, and back up, as needed for all facility positions.
Must have 2 years machine operator experience.
Manufacturing Machine experience.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 – 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

PLC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Startup, Operate and shut down plant machines with efficiency.
Maintain material quality.
Maintain production throughout the day consisting of checking densities, antifoam, flocculant, water reserve, containment area, and sludge.
Complete medium maintenance tasks to operate and maintain operations of the plant
Work with the Lead to Ensure all operation tasks are completed at the end of the day including cleaning duties
Perform facility lock down and ensure all lights are off before releasing the crew to go home.
Follow all Alter safety rules and policies. Wear all required PPE for ATP facility
