About The Position
The Plant Operator is vital in the overall operation of the plant and facilities. Plant Operators perform the tasks necessary for the day-to-day operations and production of products.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Solid math and reading skills, and the ability to understand technical manuals
- Two (2) years production/maintenance experience OR oil and gas industry experience OR completion of mechanical/industrial trade school program
- Aptitude for learning new tasks and skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with laboratory and sales personnel, as well as the ability to work independently without close supervision
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Willingness to be flexible in scheduling
- Ability to safely lift at least 50 pounds and tolerate scents common to fuels and asphalt operation
- Ability to perform work which requires frequent and regular movement of wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Ability to perform work which requires frequent and regular walking and standing
- Ability to see, hear, talk, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity

Responsibilities
- Opens and closes valves for product transfers
- Performs general preventative maintenance of pump and valve systems
- Operates equipment
- Inspects tanks periodically
- Troubleshoots mechanics of plant systems
- Weighs trucks, pre- and post-loading
- Loads emulsion trucks
- General Labor
- Follows all safety policies and practices
- All other duties as assigned
