About The Position

As a member of the Caledon site team, the Plant Operator executes the daily tasks of operating, maintaining and performing tasks related to an aggregate plant and equipment operation. In addition, the operator will assist and/or cover for shipping, rock truck, and bank loader as required.

Requirements

Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Nice To Haves

Heavy mobile equipment operation/training is an asset.
Industrial plant operation/training is an asset.
Computer literacy is an asset.

Responsibilities

Ensure assigned equipment is operated to OEM guidelines and industry best practices.
Ensure that product outputs meet material quality specifications.
Complete, review, and execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual operation reports and metrics.
Ensure that plant equipment and surrounding areas are kept presentable and functional.
Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and preventative maintenance actions are scheduled and completed.
Maintain environmental sustainability in the site operation.
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
