About The Position

This position is at the Black Thunder Mine and requires the individual to uphold core values of Safety, Sustainability, and Continuous Improvements. Responsibilities include performing general labor such as plant wash downs and housekeeping, understanding plant designs and processes, and assisting millwrights and electricians with repairs. With demonstrated ability, there are opportunities for advancement into roles such as train loading, hot water generator operation, maintenance repair, plant troubleshooting, and heavy equipment operation. The role also includes other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Must have a work ethic that allows him/her to demonstrate his/her ability daily with minimal supervision.
• Must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills and an ability to work with others in a team environment.
• Must be willing to work in adverse conditions including, but not limited to, extreme heat, cold, dust, rain, snow and wind, as well as frequent contact with grease and dirt.
• Must demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
• Plant and/or general heavy maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform general labor, including plant wash downs and housekeeping.
• Understanding plant designs and processes with plant equipment and facilities.
• Assist plant millwrights and plant electricians with all repair work.
• Progress to loading trains, hot water generator operation, maintenance repair, plant troubleshooting and heavy equipment operation with demonstrated ability.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
