About The Position

GFL Mississauga is looking for plant operators to support in our refrigerant line of business!

Requirements

• Must be clean shaven (in order to wear a respirator)
• Able to morning shift and/or afternoon shift
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Multitask and work under pressure
• Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
• Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of refrigerant gases would be an asset
• Tow motor experience, an asset

Responsibilities

• Work in an outdoor environment (30%)
• Handle refrigerant cylinders / drums (physical lifting, carrying, moving of material)
• Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using material handling equipment
• Operate refrigerant processing equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on processing equipment
• Fill out production reports / equipment maintenance reports
• Operate tow motor
• Respond to emergencies and help with the spills clean-up
• Housekeeping to maintain a safe work area
• Some overtime required
• Ensure all work complies with Safety Standards and all applicable Codes
• Maintain good working relationship with all coworkers and customers
• Perform other assignments as required
