About The Position
The Plant Operator Helper assists in the handling, manufacture, and processing of lumber and round stock. The role operates power tools and equipment as directed and supports a range of plant, yard, processing, and material-handling activities. Responsibilities
- Perform duties of Inspector, Machine Operator 2, and Laborer positions as required.
- Operate material handling equipment.
- Perform inventory counts.
- Assist with loading railroad cars, trucks, and trams.
- Clean up the yard, processing systems, and other areas as required.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Change treatment charges; identify and inspect materials for conformance; inspect binders and cables; and move and store charges.
- Participate in and contribute to the company safety program.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
