About The Position
The Department of Public Utilities – Wastewater Division is seeking a highly qualified, experienced and licensed Wastewater Utility plant supervisor to supervise the City’s 75 MGD design flow Wastewater Treatment Plant including the bio solids production as needed. This is a 24 hours 7 days a week utility.
Requirements
- Class 1 Wastewater license
- High School diploma/GED
- Two years experience in wastewater treatment operations or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Must have a valid Drivers license.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the City’s 75 MGD design flow Wastewater Treatment Plant including the bio solids production as needed.
- Monitor chemical feeds and chemical levels.
- Control the treatment process.
- Monitor workstations via SCADA and plant observation tours.
- Supervise the work and schedules of 3 direct reports.
- Perform evaluations and approve time sheets for operators.
- Hold monthly tailgate (safety/training) meetings.
- Interpret laboratory and operational data & make operational adjustments to maintain 100% compliance.
