About The Position

Provides strategic leadership and oversight of operational activities to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment while driving performance, quality, and continuous improvement. This role supports departmental operations by managing resources, developing teams, overseeing budgets and capital projects, and collaborating across functions to achieve business objectives. The position is accountable for maintaining regulatory compliance, fostering a strong safety culture, and aligning operational execution with organizational goals and long-term growth strategies.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or at least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, construction materials, industrial production, or a related industry, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership or management role with responsibility for safety, budgeting, workforce development, and operational performance.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and environmental regulations
  • Operational planning and performance management
  • Budgeting and capital expenditure management
  • Project management
  • Problem-solving and decision-making
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA/MSHA training certifications preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant industry certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily tasks related to operational leadership, production management, safety compliance, and workforce supervision.
  • Operate, maintain, or inspect production equipment, operational systems, facilities, and related resources as required.
  • Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Support team operations in production, maintenance, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with infrequent or special tasks such as capital projects, budgeting activities, workforce development, succession planning, strategic planning, and cross-functional business initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
