About The Position

Up Health System- Marquette, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Plant Operations Director. This role is crucial in developing and implementing departmental goals, plans, and standards aligned with the organization's objectives. The Director will oversee departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to ensure performance and quality control. Key responsibilities include planning and monitoring staffing, preparing and managing departmental budgets, coordinating audits, and fostering an environment for professional growth. The position ensures the department remains focused on its vital role in the continuum of care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  • Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education
  • Lead the work of others who perform essentially the same work.
  • May set priorities, schedule and review work, but have no responsibility to hire, terminate, review performance and/or make pay decisions

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
  • Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.
