This role involves managing and leading plant operations and maintenance functions within a business unit or ministry location. The manager will have some authority in developing plant operations and maintenance strategies, work plans, budgets, and staffing to ensure effective operational performance. Key responsibilities include participating in strategic planning for staffing levels, development, and growth, as well as overseeing recruitment, supervision, and disciplinary processes. The position requires assisting in strategically managing and leading plant operations and maintenance services to meet customer expectations. This includes participating in the development and submission of annual capital and operating budgets, managing approved budgets cost-effectively, and ensuring alignment with system strategic initiatives. The manager will also be involved in developing, reviewing, and revising policies and procedures that align with department and overall location operations. A critical aspect of the role is planning and managing the physical environment of care in compliance with policies from the campus, The Joint Commission (TJC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other applicable federal, state, and local statutes. Additionally, the manager is responsible for overseeing the purchase of supplies, equipment, and services to ensure uninterrupted service to the assigned business unit or ministry.
