Plant Manager
About The Position
The Plant Manager directs and supervises metal fabrication operations, including cutting, welding, forming, and powder coating. The role ensures production schedules are met by optimizing workflow and minimizing downtime. It leads, trains, and mentors fabricators, machine operators, and support staff while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The Plant Manager enforces safety protocols and OSHA standards, monitors quality control to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements, and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The role also oversees fabrication equipment and tools, coordinates repairs and preventive maintenance, and tracks production KPIs, labor utilization, and material usage.
Requirements
- At least 7 years in metal fabrication or manufacturing leadership roles.
- Proven ability to manage teams in a hands-on capacity.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding processes, and CNC machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to motivate and develop team members in a high-pressure environment.
