Adler Pelzer Group, a growing global Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry, is seeking a strong and motivated Plant Manager for its manufacturing operations in Thomson, GA. The Plant Manager will direct and coordinate activities related to the production of company products, utilizing knowledge of throughput, inventory, and operating expenses for multi-process Automotive Acoustic product manufacturing, including Compound Injection Molding. This role is responsible for a multi-functional plant, supervising plant finance, manufacturing, engineering, materials, quality, human resources, and information systems. The Plant Manager will have P&L responsibility for the assigned location and will make decisions with significant impact on the business in terms of costs, schedules, and customer relationships. The position oversees daily facility activities including shipping and receiving, maintenance, production control, quality, production, and human resources, and interfaces with the Corporate office and sister plants for coordination. The role involves troubleshooting production and maintenance issues, enacting contingency plans, reviewing performance results, taking corrective actions, and establishing standards, controls, and budgets while maintaining optimum production and utilization of human resources. The Plant Manager will support subordinates, communicate vision, and develop individuals for growth, while maintaining a positive working relationship with all employees to foster a cooperative and harmonious environment conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency. The role ensures processes and equipment meet the best affordable standards and warrant permanent improvements in controllability and productivity, directing manufacturing methods using throughput, inventory, and operating expense as the method of operation. Adherence to plant safety requirements, environmental health and safety regulations, and applicable QS9000/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements is essential. The Plant Manager will participate in production decisions concerning new product lines, establish and maintain production schedules, oversee plant facility layout and ergonomics, and manage production-related communication and coordination. Coordination with human resources for personnel development, training, recruitment, and evaluation is also a key responsibility. The role involves managing personnel and projects within departments and accepting additional responsibilities as required to support team objectives.
