About The Position

The Plant Manager will be responsible for the management of all material inventories, performing basic facility maintenance, and providing leadership to drivers and associated staff. This role requires a commitment to safety, including ensuring compliance with OSHA and DOT standards, and implementing preventative maintenance actions. The Plant Manager will also be responsible for accurate processing of customer orders, providing product advice, and maintaining communication with the Area Production Manager. This position may involve managing multiple facilities, including inventory and stockpile management, and developing strategic plans for staffing, equipment, inventory, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Management of all material inventories
  • Perform basic facility maintenance
  • Provide leadership to 12 or more drivers and other associated staff assigned to the location
  • Monitor employee processes and behaviors to ensure that safe practices are incorporated in all daily activities
  • Inspect and make necessary corrections to unsafe conditions that occur at the facility
  • Implement preventative maintenance actions that promote a safe work environment
  • Review and assess safety concerns in pre and post trip inspection reports
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards in and around the plant
  • Ensure fleet operations are compliant with DOT standards
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to engage with, and positively motivate delivery and plant teams on a daily basis
  • Accurate processing of customer orders
  • Provide appropriate product advice
  • Maintain collaborative lines of communication with the Area Production Manager to address specified goals with the assigned facilities
  • May be required to engage and lead employees at remote or multiple facilities
