About The Position

The Plant Manager is the highest authority in the plant, responsible for daily operations, efficiency, safety, and quality. This role leads all US site-related activities and functions, including distribution and manufacturing, both directly and indirectly for 2K Polymer - UK. The Plant Manager is accountable for site performance to achieve key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • College degree in business or engineering, or related experience required.
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing, fabrication and/or machine shop environment required.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • ERP/MRP software experience needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage, direct, and motivate a team.
  • Ability to multitask and set priorities.
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

  • Lean manufacturing background preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the UK Plant for guidance to support customer needs.
  • Lead and sustain a Zero Incident / World-Class Safety culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations, maintain audit readiness, and drive continuous improvement in Environmental, Health, and Safety performance.
  • Accountable for incident reporting, investigation, corrective actions, required training, emergency preparedness, and environmental compliance programs at each facility.
  • Manage Operating Budget.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with both Supply Chain and Master Planner/Scheduler to maintain raw material stock / reorder levels.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels including cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
  • Work with Master Planner/Scheduler on fulfilling production requirements.
  • Accountable for production quality.
  • Maintain MRO spending budget.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing improvements where needed.
  • Direct maintenance department activities to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance schedule is adhered to.
  • Oversee shipping & receiving department to maximum cost efficiency and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain plant cleanliness & organization in accordance with 5s methodology.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels in accordance with production needs.
  • Responsible for approving employee work schedules/time/attendance.
  • Ensuring compliance with performance management/attendance policy.
  • Develop team members using STEP program and other developmental tools.
  • Perform additional projects, duties or assignments as directed by management.
