About The Position

The Plant Manager is the highest authority in the plant, responsible for daily operations, efficiency, safety, and quality. This role leads all US site-related activities and functions, including distribution and manufacturing, both directly and indirectly for 2K Polymer - UK. The Plant Manager is accountable for site performance to achieve key performance indicators.

Requirements

College degree in business or engineering, or related experience required.
Supervisory experience in a manufacturing, fabrication and/or machine shop environment required.
Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
ERP/MRP software experience needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage, direct, and motivate a team.
Ability to multitask and set priorities.
Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

Lean manufacturing background preferred.
Valid Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

Liaise with the UK Plant for guidance to support customer needs.
Lead and sustain a Zero Incident / World-Class Safety culture.
Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations, maintain audit readiness, and drive continuous improvement in Environmental, Health, and Safety performance.
Accountable for incident reporting, investigation, corrective actions, required training, emergency preparedness, and environmental compliance programs at each facility.
Manage Operating Budget.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Work with both Supply Chain and Master Planner/Scheduler to maintain raw material stock / reorder levels.
Maintain accurate inventory levels including cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
Work with Master Planner/Scheduler on fulfilling production requirements.
Accountable for production quality.
Maintain MRO spending budget.
Implement Lean Manufacturing improvements where needed.
Direct maintenance department activities to ensure maximum uptime.
Ensure preventative maintenance schedule is adhered to.
Oversee shipping & receiving department to maximum cost efficiency and ensure on-time delivery.
Maintain plant cleanliness & organization in accordance with 5s methodology.
Maintain appropriate staffing levels in accordance with production needs.
Responsible for approving employee work schedules/time/attendance.
Ensuring compliance with performance management/attendance policy.
Develop team members using STEP program and other developmental tools.
Perform additional projects, duties or assignments as directed by management.
