About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As Plant Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Leading all aspects of the factory to drive change and improvement in Safety, Environment, Quality, Service and Cost. Working with business partners and factory teams to convert customer needs into action in the factory. Developing and leading programs to improve product and process understanding. Supporting efforts on new products. Being accountable for results of factory performance. Leading and motivating a team of approximately 75 people.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Three (3) years of operations leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Process Safety Management
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
  • Strong personal standards regarding employee safety
  • Established decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work within a matrix of functions like EHS, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering and others
  • Strong people and culture-building skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize your own workload
  • Demonstrated strength in engineering/technical skills
  • Experience with multiple quality systems such as ISO9000 and others

Responsibilities

  • Complying with corporate policies, procedures and security standards while performing assigned duties
  • Contributing to a strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement
