About The Position

We are seeking a Plant Manager for our Faison, NC facility, a leading manufacturer of quality pickles. This role is responsible for providing overall leadership and accountability for plant operations with a strong focus on delivering results. In partnership with the site leadership team, the Plant Manager will drive employee engagement, safety, quality, customer service, continuous improvement, cost management, and production performance to meet or exceed business objectives. The successful candidate will identify and implement strategic opportunities to improve operational efficiency, safety, throughput, productivity, schedule attainment, cost reduction, and product quality while fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of five years of leadership experience in a production or food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control procedures, and inventory management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial technology, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience leading in a union environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing coaching and leadership to team members in the areas of employee engagement, safety, quality, customer service, continuous improvement, cost, and equipment reliability to elevate the team’s performance.
  • Promoting a safety culture and ensuring adherence to all health and safety policies/protocols.
  • Leading the development, execution, and monitoring of the operations strategy in line with the overall operational objectives to achieve safety, quality and performance improvement and ensure achievement of manufacturing goals.
  • Leading the continuous improvement program to deliver opportunities in cost, quality, food safety and service.
  • Utilizing available data including OEE, line speed target, and efficiency and process data to continuously improve productivity, uptime, and reliability.
  • Coordinating manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plant-wide initiatives.
