About The Position

The Plant Manager will plan, organize, staff, and direct all activities of our Haslet, TX manufacturing facility, a key site for producing state-of-the-art modular chiller plant systems that provide critical cooling for data centers. Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing, this leader will be responsible for achieving plant and sector goals for safety, quality, growth, profitability, productivity, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement. The Plant Manager will also lead all production and plant operations to ensure the effective utilization of resources in a dynamic engineer-to-order (ETO) environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field is required
  • Demonstrated experience with implementing a Lean/Operational Excellence culture in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • 10–15 years of progressive Operations/Supply Chain experience in manufacturing operations
  • A minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing/plant operations leadership role (preferably as a Plant Manager).
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing strategic plans and managing a complex P&L.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills, expertise in Supply Chain Management, and advanced leadership abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or master’s in engineering is preferred.
  • Experience working with a high-skill work force is a significant plus.
  • Experience in product manufacturing including welding, pipe fitting, and/or electrical a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate all plant functions, including Manufacturing Operations, Materials, Production Control, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Planning, Human Resources, Accounting, Manufacturing Engineering, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S).
  • Lead a manufacturing plant of 500+ employees contributing over $500M+ of revenue annually.
  • Guide and support the plant EH&S program in improvements, investigations, and corrective actions to meet and exceed federal laws, state regulations, and corporate standards.
  • Drive the plant's quality system, implementing procedures and controls to improve overall customer satisfaction, DPPM, first-pass yield, and warranty results.
  • Partner with the Operational Excellence team to ensure the effective development and delivery of programs to teach the workforce lean manufacturing concepts such as A3 thinking, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and 5S.
  • Be proactive and responsive to all facets of customer satisfaction, including on-time delivery, schedule changes, and special instructions.
  • Guide and support plant maintenance, process improvements, facility enhancements, and capital expenditures.
  • Direct the submittal of the plant’s Annual Operating Plan and the business’s financial forecasts.
  • Lead plant resources in project budgets, while meeting material and labor productivity targets.
  • Maintain a positive rapport with all levels of the organization to foster and promote an inclusive work environment, high morale, and strong employee engagement.
  • Lead and support the development of plant employees and succession planning activities.
